Heyward-Washington House- This amazing house was built in 1772 by rice planter Daniel Heyward and the house was rented for George Washington when he visited the area. The house has beautiful geometric designed gardens with beautiful plants, many of which were imported from Europe. The house has free spring garden tours every Thursday afternoon in April starting at 4 p.m.
Middleton Place- Middleton Place is home to one of America’s oldest landscaped gardens and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The gardens were started in 1741 and feature 65 acres of beautiful scenery with blooming azaleas, dogwoods, daffodils, magnolias and more.
Magnolia Plantation and Gardens- The gardens have been open to public since the 1870 and feature exquisite flowers and trees- many of them native to the area. Come in spring and see blooming tulips, poppies, jasmine, honeysuckle, dogwoods, daisies, roses and so much more.
